Thanks for the review. I'm looking into wireless displays which can grab images from my server without stupid problems that have been either purposely done to stop us from using these devices the way we want them or they really don't know what they are doing. Another example is the wifi Compact Flash card - which does many cool tricks apart from deleting files, so you have to manually delete all the images when the memory fills up.

You know - I have some netbooks running linux and can do most anything I want, so my desire for picture frames has decreased. I believe the time has come for KODAK and all to move aside because just round the corner are manufactures ready with new devices costing less than 100 Euros. I'll bet in 6 months I'll have my super duper wireless picture frame running linux super cheap.

Solid review! I've been curious about doing something similar to what you are trying to do. I just want to be able to have a slideshow with a handful of status screens that can be updated via FTP or something similar without having to use an external service like Flickr.

Anybody have any success with this? The D-Link frame seems to be next on my list...??

Thanks. The "heads up" review should be a wake up call to KODAK, but given their stock price as an indicator, I don't hold out much hope. DO all big biz have a tin ear? Does any one actually try these things before releasing them on the public. Argh! Just generally indicative of the "throw it on the wall and hope"? But thanks.
